Dear HSCC Supporters & Animal Lovers Alike,

GivingTuesday is a global movement of generosity, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities, and ultimately the world. GivingTuesday was created in 2012 as a simple idea: a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past 9 years, this idea has inspired hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity.

Please join the Humane Society of Cambria County this year as we kick off our annual Holiday Campaign on GivingTuesday: November 30, 2021! You may donate to our fundraiser, here: https://www.facebook.com/donate/1755704744627234/

It goes without saying that we all have been affected in one way or another from Covid-19. This year has been challenging as we navigate back to our regular ways of life and adjust to our new normal. During these unprecedented times, our lifesaving efforts have become more important than ever.

We here at the shelter have pushed through the challenges of recovery and have come out stronger, even better, on the other side. We continue to  place our animals in adoptive and foster homes, care for those pets still within our facility, and help animals and pet owners in need. Most importantly, we remain committed to our mission.

Throughout 2021 we have:

  • Supplied dog and cat food to pets in need across Cambria County with the continuation of our Emergency Pet Food Pantry.
  • Placed over 500 Animals into furever and foster homes through our Adoption and Foster programs.
  • Returned 100 lost pets to their owners.
  • Provided a safe haven for approximately 500 homeless pets across our county with the assistance of our Animal Control Officer.
  • Grew our team to provide the essential care, interaction, and socialization for our current shelter animals.

We have witnessed the powerful lifesaving efforts that can be accomplished when working with our community. We are encouraged by your support in action over the years and, especially, this year.

With plans and hopes to advance our shelter, we need our community now more than ever! As we revive our in-person fundraising schedule, our financial future is hopeful but remains uncertain. Our critical work can only exist with the backing of funding, and our funding can only exist with giving donors, like you!

Please consider joining us today in helping animals and pet owners in need by making a donation. They need you now more than ever.

#GivingTuesday

Sincerely,
Jessica Vamos
